Peace with Dementia

Your Host: Matt Estrade

Matt William Estrade, MA, MBA is a dementia care consultant and educator in the Greater New Orleans area with his practice called Care Partner Mentoring, LLC.  He facilitates a weekly caregiver support group for the Council on Aging St. Tammany (COAST) and has delivered dementia training to COAST, Jefferson Parish Council on Aging staff, and staff of Home Instead Senior Care (Slidell).

From 2008-2011, He served as a Grants Officer in the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs where he piloted a consumer directed community living program and implemented the Stanford Chronic Disease Self-Management Program for elders.  In the Fall of 2015, Matt was recognized in New Orleans’ Gambit Weekly’s 40 Under 40 of individuals making a difference in New Orleans. Matthew earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1992.

Matt holds a Bachelors in Hospitality Management from Auburn University, a Masters of Business from the University of New Orleans, and a recently a Masters in Gerontology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. His website is a resource for families impacted by dementia.
