Dave Wiederrich KalendarKards Memory Support SystemDave Wiederrich is the CEO and Co-Founder of KalendarKards LLC.

His product, KalendarKards Memory Support System is a card-based reminder tool for individuals living with early memory loss. It was developed for a family member. KalendarKards is available at KalendarKards.com and at Amazon.com.

He created KalendarKards after retiring from Daimler Trucks North America (formerly Freightliner.) During his 34 year career, he held leadership positions in sales, marketing, IT, and operations. In the six years before he retired, he provided corporate communications services for the CEO’s office.

In addition to developing KalendarKards, Dave created a free, national directory of Memory Cafes for individuals and their care partners to enjoy dementia-friendly outings. Over 400 local memory cafes are now listed MemoryCafeDirectory.com. He also creates websites for small businesses and provides business coaching services.

Melanie McMillion, MS, LMHC is a Field Educator for TrustBridge:  Hospice by the Sea/Hospice of Palm Beach and Broward County.

She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic College in 1991 and her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 1993.

Melanie has been licensed in the state of Florida – MH4402 since 1997 and has 20+years of clinical experience working in the hospice, palliative care, and bereavement fields. Through her work, she has extensive experience assisting persons with chronic and terminal health issues, caregiver stressors, and grief and bereavement.  Melanie is a State Certified Clinical Supervisor and provides clinical supervision for individuals pursuing licensure.

Ms. McMillon is a lecturer and workshop facilitator on the topics of grief and loss, professional ethics and boundaries, caregiver stress management, advance directives, and end of life care.  Melanie lives in Coral Springs, Florida with her husband and two children.

After an extensive 30-year entrepreneurial career in marketing and technology, Steven is known as a communicator and an innovator.

In 2010 Steven joined the senior services industry to help build and manage a national network of senior resource sites at ElderCare Resources® USA. As Co-Founder and President his vision was to empower seniors and caregivers with the knowledge and resources necessary to provide quality care for an aging parent, spouse, relative or friend.

In the summer of 2015 Steven developed Age Safe America® to help seniors and their families determine the steps necessary to maximize both safety and independence.

Steven is driven by an incredible passion for self-expression through living. His work is an extension of his life. As an entrepreneur, consultant, writer and speaker, Steven has proven himself to be a dynamic and creative addition to any project. Steven oversees all aspects of growth including strategic partnerships and membership. Steven is an admitted beach bum, recovering workaholic, loving husband and father.

Matt Gurwell is the founder & CEO of Keeping Us Safe, LLC.

He currently lectures throughout the United States on topics related to the aging process and its adverse affects on driving skills.

As founder and CEO of Keeping Us Safe, Matt’s mission is to provide strategies and guidance to seniors that will help them to continue driving safely until the decision is made to retire from their driving career.  He also provides an excellent array of services and resources for both families and professionals as they deal with this very sensitive issue.

Matt retired from a very distinguished and successful 24-year career as an Assistant District Commander with the Ohio State Highway Patrol in the spring of 2005.  After leaving the Patrol, Matt has participated in a tremendous amount of work in the area of older driver research, best practices, current vehicle safety technologies, and adaptive equipment.

Matt’s creative, innovative and common sense approach, combined with his uncanny ability to bring calm and resolve to stressful situations without ever jeopardizing the dignity of others, has contributed greatly to the success of Keeping Us Safe’s programs.
